Lonehill Koppie, a serene, fenced nature reserve in the heart of Lonehill, is a perfect weekend escape. Everyone, from residents to visitors, can come together for an easy short hike to the top and bask in the tranquil beauty of the surrounding area. Bird lovers can enjoy the quiet surroundings and spot several bird species, including the black-collared barbet, crested barbet, red-headed finch, African paradise flycatcher, black-headed heron, and willow warbler.

Lonehill Park is one of the best-kept secrets for those who want to take their dog for a walk or are just looking to get some fresh air. The park boasts a beautiful view of the Lonehill Koppie, a dam as the centrepiece, well-kept green lawns ideal for a small group picnic in the sun, and a well-equipped children's play area. A guard is permanently on duty at the dam and keeps an eye on mothers and children who come to play at the fenced play park or those walking their dogs which have to be on a leash. *Note: No private, corporate or social functions, fishing, braai or ablution facilities. Parking is limited. No tables, decorations, balloons, gazebos or other equipment allowed.

Join us in celebrating the spirit of community at the Lonehill Parkrun, a 5km run that's more about personal achievement than competition. Held at the picturesque Lonehill Park Dam on Lonehill Boulevard, it's the perfect way to kick off your Saturday. Remember to register and bring a scannable copy of your barcode for timing. We're a welcoming group, and we gather for a post-Parkrun coffee every week at The Daily Lonehill. Come and be part of a morning filled with camaraderie and fun in the great outdoors!

Yoga in the Park
An outdoor yoga class
Combine the ancient practice of yoga with the benefits of being outside in nature. Gather with us in Lonehill Park at 09h00 every Sunday morning for a 60-minute fun flow suitable for all levels. There is a coffee trailer at the park on most Sundays where we hang out afterwards ,please join us if you don't have to rush off after the class.

Lonehill Seniors
3rd Wed of every month
The Lonehill Seniors have a group of energetic members who meet on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 10-11:30am at the community centre at the village church on Crestwood Drive. Various topics of interest are discussed and presented by Dr Romanis each week and group participation is encouraged. All are welcome.
